Our Geography curriculum intends to: 

At Cheslyn Hay Primary School we believe that the foundations upon which our curriculum is built will inspire thought provoking, awe inspiring and relevant questions. It is the intention of the Geography curriculum to build leaders, innovators and philanthropists of the future, to whom our amazing world can be entrusted to.  

As a key foundation subject Geography has the ability to allow our pupils to question why? From such a simple starting point, our pupils can unpick the links between all subjects and build their knowledge and understanding from secure foundations.  

We believe that Geography contributes significantly to providing a broad and truly balanced curriculum. The flexibility of Geography, embroiled by our natural and human world, will provide intriguing stimuli to ensure that all pupil’s interests are peaked. Hence, allowing personal differentiated progression of knowledge of school through a holistic approach, where the accumulation of links with other subjects ensures broad horizons in a balanced curriculum.
