School Clubs

As a large primary school we are able to offer a wide range of extra curricular activities.

Many activities take place at lunchtimes when older pupils are encouraged to organise and run clubs for the younger children. Similarly many children are keen to organise competitions for their peers, or to engage in charity fund raising activities. These activities foster a sense of independence and encourage children to work collaboratively.

After school a wide variety of clubs for both KS1 and KS2 pupils take place. Children are encouraged to register for these on a termly basis so that they get the opportunity to try a variety of different activities. The clubs on offer change from time to time to reflect the interests of the children.

Our school choir is always popular, with some children joining in Keystage 1 and remaining as members until they leave for High School. A highlight of the Choir’s year is taking part in the annual Young Voices concert in Birmingham. On a musical note (!) a wide range of instrumental lessons – currently keyboard, piano and guitar - are offered by peripatetic music teachers who visit school each week. There is a charge for these lessons. The school office can provide details of all school clubs and music lessons.

The diverse achievements of our talented pupils are celebrated in our school assemblies as children are encouraged to share their interests and successes.
