Keep up to date with our latest news here.
All the staff have had the most wonderful week welcoming your children back to school and meeting their new classes. It has been lovely to see the school full of children all smiling and enjoying their learning again. We’d like to say well done to all the children and the parents for how well you’ve all adapted to the new ways of working so quickly. We hope you all have an enjoyable and restful weekend and look forward to seeing all the children back on Monday.
MESSAGE FROM STAFFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL ACTIVE TRAVEL TEAM
To support the government plan for all pupils to return to school, Staffordshire County Council has produced the following Travel to School Action Plan to support the schools reopening. As children return to school and parents to work, the benefits that active travel brings are more important than ever. There are many ways we are supporting your school and ask you to join with us in these unusual times to reduce the number of cars in the immediate school vicinity; for the benefit of residents, for the safety of your pupils and the environment. In order to do this, we ask as many of you as possible to walk to school. If this is not possible, consider parking away from the school and walking some of the way.
We have this morning activated magic booking for the coming school year. You will need to agree to the Terms and Conditions before you will be able to make any bookings. If you have any issues once you have followed these steps please e-mail Amanda on asephton@chps.school. The Holiday schedule will be activated in due course. As a one off we will also require a paper copy registration from to be completed. This can either be downloaded from the website or obtained from The Hub. Please note the due to the current situation The Hub will NOT be open on Tuesday 01st September.
If your child is starting in September and you wish to use The Hub please complete and return forms to asephton@chps.school. Due to the updated T&C’s these will need completing even if you have previously done so. Many Thanks
Our final day of school is done for this academic year and what a very strange year it has been. It was lovely to see lots of our Year 2, 3 and 4 children yesterday. Your teachers have missed you lots and really enjoyed seeing your smiley faces back in school.
The teachers also really enjoyed meeting their new classes on Microsoft Teams today, and I know they’re looking forward to meeting you all properly in September.
We gave our Year 6 children a good send off on Wednesday and know they will continue to do well as they move on to high school. We wish them all the best for the future.
We are so proud of all of our children and how they have faced such a difficult and uncertain time. You have all been truly amazing. Have a lovely summer and we look forward to seeing you in September.
Mr Griffiths.
